The village I needed. I had researched doulas and lactation consultants in my area before I was pregnant as after a difficult birth and issues with my son we weren’t sure it was something we could go through again and I wanted to be sure I had the right support from day 1. After I found out I was pregnant I contacted Nikki straight away, she offered a free phone call to run through what I needed and wanted out of her services and also recommended an osteopath in my area which helped some of my pregnancy issues. I was able to set up some initial appointments based on what I thought I would need and sort these via a payment plan so I didn’t need to think about this once baby arrived. We set up an antenatal appointment a few months before baby arrived and ran through my previous birth notes, it was extremely helpful in understanding what had gone wrong and what support I needed, as well as helping my partner to understand how he could help. I was desperate to breastfeed this time around as I knew it would be our last baby and I wanted to make it work. As soon as baby arrived Nikki was helping via WhatsApp and we organised a home visit as baby had a tongue tie as expected and hadn’t been feeding. Nikki’s experience meant that any issues were nipped in the bud without any need for nhs referrals, the advice wasn’t generic and she was always on hand via WhatsApp. Videos, photos and articles were always at hand. My baby was trickier than any of us could have expected and it wasn’t as smooth as I had imagined but it wouldn’t have happened at all without the ongoing support I have had from Nikki. She was also able to lift baby’s tongue tie after the cut to ensure it wasn’t reattaching which we had had issue with previously. Nikki has supported me through finger feeding, pumping, tongue tie, shields, post division exercises, mastitis, blocked ducts, bottle refusal and worked tirelessly alongside the osteopath to help me breastfeed my baby! I will never get the time back with my first unsettled baby but having Nikki as my support this time has given me a sweet happy baby who has slotted into our family with ease. ❤️

With both our babies, we struggled with latch issues and oral function due to a tongue tie which Nikki identified, she recommended an amazing place to get them sorted and helped us post procedure massively but also during the period of painful feeds she was available whenever I messaged her whether it was to provide nipple shield information or making sure I was latching her correctly or just generally being supportive and building my confidence. We saw Nikki multiple times for our first, from bottle refusal to weaning and of course knew we wanted to see her for our second baby and still continue to see her! What sets Nikki apart is her genuine care and commitment to ensuring that both mum and baby are thriving. She never rushed us, always took the time to answer our questions, and made sure we felt heard and supported at every step and was available at any given moment. Her guidance has made breastfeeding a much smoother and more enjoyable experience, and we are forever thankful! My only regret is I didn’t book in soon enough with her and wish I’d book in during my first pregnancy, so my advice is to book a session prior to baby’s arrival and one for straight after baby is born 🥰 Thankyou Nikki x

I first met Nikki 5.5yrs ago when I encapsulated my first placenta and have been returning to her with each child, she’s amazing! With my most recent baby, I used Nikki a lot to help with various feeding issues and she was fantastic. So much help with zero judgement, she is so supportive of whatever feeding path you want to follow and helps you get to where you want to be. Amazing Support from Nikki – A Game-Changer for New Parents Working with Nikki after the birth of our first baby was hands down one of the best decisions we made. Like a lot of new parents, we felt lost, especially after being given some pretty confusing advice by the NHS. But from the moment Nikki came on board, everything changed. She helped us with feeding and sleep, and it wasn’t just generic advice. Nikki gave us detailed, personalised plans that made sure our daughter had a solid routine by two months old – even sleeping through the night! As someone running a business, having this kind of structure was a game-changer for me. What really stood out for me as a new dad was how involved Nikki made me feel. She constantly asked for my input, which meant I wasn’t just on the sidelines. I felt confident stepping in to give my partner the breaks she needed, and that made a huge difference for both of us. On top of all that, Nikki was always there when we needed her – answering questions on WhatsApp, making house visits to help us feel comfortable, and just generally being an incredible support system. She went above and beyond, and we honestly can’t recommend her enough.

Nikki has helped us with three major elements with our 3 month old baby, one being latch and oral function , two being bottle refusal and three sleep ! Not only did Nikki identify a tongue tie which we previously had removed, she also assisted us in getting my breastfed baby to accept a bottle which i thought would never happen until we met Nikki! We have continued to work with Nikki to get our Daughter having longer stretches of sleep at night once put down and the difference made in the matter of days has been incredible. After being told by multiple other local ‘breastfeeding specialists’ there was nothing wrong with my sons latch, and the feeding problems I was experiencing couldn’t be true as he was gaining weight, I was ready to end my BF journey. Then thankfully I was recommended Nikki. She instantly diagnosed him with a severe tongue tie and worked endlessly with us for weeks to release the surrounding tissues to enable it to be snipped. Nikki was an absolute life saver at a point when we needed her the most. From the moment we met Nikki both myself and my husband felt instantly better. We were having significant issue with our son breast feeding from a combination of various problems. Nikki was able to identify the tongue tie issue (which had been missed by the NHS including an ENT surgeon) Nikki supported in both pre/post care following the tongue tie release and worked in conjunction with a recommended osteopath to have a combined approach to my sons care.
